People, Planet & Technology ends... but something new is starting π
Hej,
I hope you're doing well. Today, I'm reaching out personally to share some exciting changes about this newsletter, a journey we've embarked on together. Your engagement and insights have been invaluable, and I can't wait to bring you along on this new chapter.
"risk & haz": A Reflection of My Evolved Focus
You might remember my newsletter as "People, Planet & Technology." It's time for a new era. I'm relaunching it to "risk & haz," a title that closely mirrors my growing passion and focus on using Earth Observation techniques to understand climate risks and natural hazards. This change isn't just in name but also in essence, as I delve deeper into this vital and fascinating field.
Why the Shift?
Over the past years, I've found myself increasingly drawn to the power and potential of Earth Observation. It's a tool like no other for decoding the complexities of our climate and the hazards our planet faces. I want this newsletter to reflect this journey and share my passion and experiences with you, bringing you the most relevant, insightful, and up-to-date information in this area.
Transitioning from Substack to Buttondown
In line with these changes, I'm also switching my newsletter platform to Buttondown. This move is driven by my commitment to ensure the privacy and security of your personal data, steering clear of the pitfalls associated with big tech companies. Buttondown offers a more secure, personal, and focused experience for us both.
